Guthrie Trapp Stars in Our Latest Podcast
The sixth episode of our music podcast is live! This time we sit down with fleet fingered country picker Guthrie Trapp, one of our online guitar lessons instructors. The show is available now anywhere you listen to podcasts, or you can check it out on our site.
In the episode, ArtistWorks CEO Patricia Butler and Trapp delve into the subject of musical talent: are we born with inherent capabilities, or can talent be taught? We've heard from a number of ArtistWorks students who worry they don't have the "innate talent" required to learn an instrument. With this series, we hope to address this issue directly, while getting insight from our masterful instructors.
“It's an insult for people to say ‘he’s just born with talent,’" Trapp admits. "I had to work a lot at this, a lot of hours, a lot of years to get to where I am.”
On the ArtistWorks Music Series, Butler speaks with master musicians across all genres as they dive deep into topics like becoming a musician, playing at the professional level, and the journey of learning music. Over the coming weeks, we'll be spotlighting many artists and discussing all sorts of instruments and topics:
