Jazz Piano Lessons with George Whitty Now Available
“It’s really just such an ideal format, and I’m really pleased to be here as the new professor of jazz piano.” - George Whitty
At last, the wait for jazz piano lessons with George Whitty is over! This is an exciting day for ArtistWorks and we couldn’t be more proud to have George on board as part of our online faculty.
George got the bug to play jazz piano at a young age. He was just 14 years old when he wrote a letter to the great Chick Corea asking him “are you really making up those notes? It seems impossible….” Eventually through some good teachers he was able learn the important improvisation concepts and has made jazz his career for the past 30 years.
Now at ArtistWorks, he has distilled everything he knows about playing jazz piano into a very teachable approach. With hundreds of lessons from fundamental concepts to advanced technique, George methodically leads the way to jazz piano mastery. The lessons also include helpful study materials like play along backing tracks, music notion, metronome and more.
Of course the best part about ArtistWorks is being able to submit videos of your playing directly through the site. George will watch and review how you’re playing and respond with a personal video response that provides tips on how to improve. The exchanges with George get posted in the Video Exchange® Library, which is constantly expanding with each submission, so even if you don't submit a video there's always something new to learn!
