Live with George Whitty, Martin Taylor, and Special Guests Julian Lage and Joe Locke
In this week’s installment of our live streamed series “Live Dispatch from Home,” ArtistWorks’ CEO and Co-founder Patricia Butler will host ArtistWorks jazz piano instructor George Whitty, fingerstyle jazz guitar master teacher Martin Taylor, and special guests Julian Lage and Joe Locke for an afternoon discussion, “Exploring the Styles of Jazz.” These four musical masters will be taking a deep dive into the rich culture of jazz, discussing the genre's many unique complexities and nuances, and will be rounding out the discussion with some amazing live musical performances.
Jazz pianist and Grammy-winning producer and performer, George Whitty has had an illustrious 25-year career sharing the stage and recording with some of the biggest names in jazz, pop, and R&B, including Herbie Hancock, The Brecker Brothers, David Sanborn, Richard Bona, Chaka Khan, Santana, Celine Dion, and more.
