Martin at ArtistWorks - Guided Arrangements
I recently spent a few days in the ArtistWorks studio filming lots of new guitar lessons for the MTGA.
I'm very excited about a new section that we are about to create called "Guided Arrangements"
In this section I play very simple skeleton arrangements which are designed to just initially orientate the student around the melody and form of a tune. I then add a few simple embellishments and arrangement ideas.
I then ask the student to learn the basic form of the tune and submit a video. It doesn't matter how basic it is. In my responses I help the student to create their own arrangement by making suggestions and guiding the student through ideas.
These guided arrangements are for all students regardless of their playing level. A beginner will get as much out of these lessons as an intermediate or advanced player. I will guide you through creating your own arrangement at whatever level you are.
They will also be accompanied with transcriptions of the skeleton arrangement.
Once the tunes are transcribed we will start rolling out the new tunes onto the site.
I believe this will take Video Exchanges onto a new level, where MTGA students can work with me on creating their own arrangements and have me guide them along the way.
The "Guided Arrangements" section will take a few weeks yet before it appears on the site, but once the tunes are transcribed I look forward to working with you and help you create your own guitar arrangements.
