If so, you may not realize it but your music muscles are stronger than they were a month ago. You can earn badges for demonstrating how much you've learned with newly-added competency quizzes. When you pass each level you’ll earn these profile badges to show off your structural musical knowledge.

      

These quizzes will challenge you and help you gauge your progress at each level of the Music Theory Workshop.  You may be surprised about how much useful information you've already absorbed! 

You get three (3) chances to pass each quiz – if you don't pass, you can take them again after a week. Remember, you must successfully complete the Basic section quizzes before you can get a badge for passing the Advanced section.

• Basic Music Theory has four (4) sections. You can take the quizzes in any order but the badge will only be awarded upon passing all four.

• Advanced Theory only has one (1) section. If you take and pass the Advanced quiz before completing the Basic Section quizzes, you will not receive a badge until your Basic badge is earned, at which time both badges will appear on your page.

• There are 20 questions per quiz, which include both multiple choice and True/False.

• To pass you must get at least 80% (you can miss up to 4 questions). 

• Each quiz has 80 possible questions presented in random order, so each retake will be a different set of questions.
