New Banjo Lesson! "Blackberry Blossom" - Intermediate Version
There are many classic and well-known songs, otherwise known as "standards", within the Bluegrass world. One such song is "Blackberry Blossom", a song written originally popularized on the fiddle by Arthur Smith in 1935. The song spans both the Celtic and Bluegrass genres, and has been recorded many times in a variety of ways. In this lesson, Tony demonstrates a way to play "Blackberry Blossom" that is not as challenging as his Advanced version, but still has the same classic feel. A perfect addition to your repertoire, this lesson is in 3 parts and comes with tabalature for all 3 parts as well! You can find the new lesson in Level 2: Intermediate, right after Melodic Style Part 8: Turkey in the Straw (Jerry Garcia Arrangement). Or, you can just click the link above! Enjoy, and as always, happy picking!
