Progressive banjo player Tony Trischka is a legend and one of the major innovators of the “chromatic” banjo style, making him a unique voice in the world of bluegrass. He also produced Steve Martin’s GRAMMY-nominated Rare Bird Alert, which featured performances by Paul McCartney and the Dixie Chicks.

On the podcast Tony discusses his personal journey coming of age in the 60’s as well as how one Beatles record in particular, despite the lack of banjo, inspired the way he's approached the recording of much of his discography. “You don’t hear that kind of variety and eclecticism on many modern records,” Tony explains. “It's something that has totally informed my approach to recording.”
