September: Darol Settling In
Darol has moved to the Boston area and is settling in for a semester teaching at renowned Berklee College of Music, and comcomitant steady ArtistWorks curriculum development.
A light touring schedule this fall will be a nice change from the last 4 years of heavy traveling. A Psychograss show in Mid-September, and an IBMA appearance in early
October will round out the fall season.
He performed at the Northwest String Summit near Portland, Oregon with his Trio with Scott Law and Samson Grisman, and with his old friends, the Yonder Mountain String Band.
He went on directly to Rockygrass where he taught all week at the RG Academy and participated in the Artistworks All-Star Band, as well as his own groups Republic Of Strings and Psychograss, and the Bryan Sutton Group.
August highlights included a Republic Of Strings appearance at the Saddleback Bluegrass festival in Maine, and the completion of his move to Boston.
