Tony Trischka Returns to the Grand Ole Opry
ArtistWorks' resident banjo extraordinaire Tony Trischka will be making his second appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN this coming Saturday night, December 21.
Appearing as part of Opry at the Ryman — the series that returns the Opry to its most famous former home at the Ryman Auditorium — Tony will perform with a band consisting of Phoebe Hunt on vocal and fiddle, Brittany Haas on fiddle, Dominick Leslie on mandolin, Todd Phillips on bass and Sean Trischka on drums. He'll also be using the Opry singers for backup harmonies.
Here's what Tony had to say:
I’m thrilled to be returning to the Grand Ole Opry for the second time. I’m especially excited because the broadcast will be from the historic Ryman auditorium, the original site of the Opry. Our appearance will be at 8:20 Central Time.
We’ll be performing two tunes: a medley of traditional Christmas songs, and a song that I wrote about my Christmas experiences growing up.
Good news for those who can’t attend: you can stream the show here.
