We are excited to announce that at 4:30 pm PST on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, ArtistWorks will be hosting our Holiday Music Special—a free livestreamed event celebrating the holiday season and the wonderful music that accompanies it.

The event will feature discussion and performances from a handful of our ArtistWorks instructors including Sierra Hull, Paul Gilbert, Darol Anger, Chris Eldridge, Michael Daves, George Whitty, Guthrie Trapp, Caterina Lichtenberg, and Mike Block. Together, these master musicians will be sharing, exploring, and performing the most meaningful music that defines and inspires their holiday season.

“I’ll be performing and discussing the Bill Monroe classic ‘Christmas Time’s A-Coming,’” explains Michael Daves excitedly. “It’s a fantastic tune with a great fiddle feature. I’m looking forward to nerding out with Darol about Tex Logan, the fiddle player who wrote the song, too.”

We’re eagerly awaiting to see what pieces the other members of the ArtistWorks faculty select and discover which tunes best represent and usher in their holiday season. The discussion and performances are sure to be lively, festive, and full of holiday cheer. We look forward to seeing you there!
