39 New Lessons Added to Stu Hamm’s Electric Bass Course
Last week, we published thirty-nine brand new online bass lessons on Stu Hamm’s electric bass course at ArtistWorks.
Stu’s new lessons cover five brand new concepts, detailing minor blues pentatonic scales in multiple keys, an extended pentatonic exercise that incorporates different rhythms as a way to practice, a lesson teaching the 6/8 groove rhythm parts to the song "Flotsam & Jetsam" from Stu's album, Hold Fast, and more. These new lessons are designed with beginner bass players in mind, but they lay the groundwork for the techniques that make Stu’s style so unique. Players of all levels will benefit from diving into these lessons!
Alongside Stu’s video instruction, these new lessons include fresh learning materials to supplement Stu’s teaching—including tablature, notation, play-along backing tracks, and more. In fact, the play-along backing track for “Flotsam & Jetsam” is the board mix from the actual album with the bass removed. So, you can play along with Stu’s real band!
“This section of my tune, ‘Flotsem & Jetsem,’ gives you the chance to see what it feels like to be me and play with my band,” Stu explains. “We’re going to look at some easy parts, some slightly more challenging parts, and some very difficult parts for you to play along with. You can not only see exactly how I write songs and bass lines, with the play-along track, you’ll be able to experiment and add your own flair too.”
