ArtistWorks Celebrates 100,000 Video Exchanges!
What truly sets the ArtistWorks learning platform apart from all other online music lessons is the added option for students to connect directly with their teacher and receive individual, personal feedback in the form of Video Exchanges. Our courses allow students to learn at their own pace while simultaneously engaging directly with many of the most masterful, accomplished musicians in the world.
We are excited to announce that, shortly after celebrating our 13th anniversary last month, ArtistWorks surpassed 100,000 collective Video Exchanges across all of our online music courses.
“Video Exchange amplifies the impact of the best teachers in the world,” explains ArtistWorks co-founder and the creator of Video Exchange Learning®, David Butler. “Before the ArtistWorks’ Video Exchange approach, only a small handful of elite students had access to master musicians."
Since our inception in 2008, ArtistWorks has grown substantially. We opened our virtual doors with just a small handful of courses and, by 2009, offered comprehensive, interactive online music lessons teaching jazz guitar, fingerstyle guitar, bluegrass banjo, classical piano, harmonica, and even DJ scratching.
Since then, ArtistWorks has expanded to offer courses taught by 42 world-renowned, award-winning master musicians, who provide their musical guidance and expertise to thousands of students in over 80 countries around the world.
"It is amazing. Every day, master musicians actually take the time to provide individualized instruction to regular people—and they do it using ArtistWorks’ Video Exchange technology,” explains David. “For the first time in history, anyone who chooses can learn from and receive expert feedback from a master. And for the first time, master musicians can elegantly and efficiently touch the lives of hundreds of individual students anywhere in the world.”
Through our Video Exchange Learning® platform, our master faculty is able to work directly with their students and provide personal guidance and feedback at every step of the musical journey. However, the benefits of Video Exchange extend even further, as all students in a course can learn from one another by tapping into our expansive Video Exchange library of over 100,000 lesson videos.
“Because every Video Exchange is available for all students in the course to view, the teacher constantly impacts their whole subscriber community with each response,” David explains. “Liberated from repetition by the recorded lesson blocks, teachers are able to impact a large volume of students and do so with less fatigue and frustration.”
To celebrate this wonderful milestone, we are awarding the student who submitted the 100,000 Video Exchange a lifetime VIP membership to their current ArtistWorks course. The student who submitted the 100,000th Video Exchange was Ben B. of Tony Trischka’s online bluegrass banjo course. Congratulations Ben, and enjoy your lifetime membership to Tony’s course!
“It’s exciting to know that the 100,000th Video Exchange to be sent in, ArtistWorks wide, came from one of my students, Ben B.,” said Tony. “Ben started with us two years ago playing a basic version of “Boil Them Cabbage Down.” In his most recent video, which is fantastic by the way, he’s playing Earl Scruggs’s version of “Salty Dog”, plus a tune of his own composition using 6ths. That’s an awful lot of progress in a relatively short period of time!”
To commemorate this achievement, we’re also offering the opportunity to get 12 months of learning for the price of 6 on most ArtistWorks courses using the code: CONNECT12 at checkout. Don’t wait—the offer is valid until November 18, 2021.
