January and the New Year are always a great time for reflection, and as we step into 2025, we at ArtistWorks wanted to take a moment to recognize one of our proudest achievements and biggest highlights from 2024. This past September, we were deeply honored to receive one of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) “Distinguished Achievement Awards” at the 2024 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards. This prestigious recognition is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible bluegrass music education to students around the world.

For years, ArtistWorks has been dedicated to connecting aspiring musicians with some of the greatest bluegrass instructors of our time. From legends like Bryan Sutton and Tony Trischka to Mike Marshall, Missy Raines, and more, our instructors have shared their knowledge, experience, and passion with students through our innovative online platform. The IBMA’s Distinguished Achievement Award acknowledges not only our dedication to bluegrass education but also the impact our instructors and students have made in keeping the tradition alive and thriving.

Receiving this award is both humbling and inspiring. We believe in the power of music to bring people together, and we are thrilled that our work is making a meaningful difference in the bluegrass community. The ability to learn from world-class musicians, receive direct feedback, and be part of a thriving learning community is something we are incredibly proud to offer. This recognition from IBMA reinforces our mission to make bluegrass education more accessible and to continue fostering the next generation of pickers, singers, and musicians.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to IBMA for this incredible honor, to our outstanding instructors for their dedication, and to our students for their enthusiasm and commitment to learning. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to expanding our offerings, refining our learning experience, and ensuring that bluegrass music continues to inspire players of all ages and skill levels. Here’s to another year of music, learning, and community!

ABOUT ARTISTWORKS:

ArtistWorks online music lessons are recorded and taught by more than 40 world-renowned master musicians who have rich musical legacies and a deep passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge. 

Through the ArtistWorks platform, students have the unique opportunity to both learn at their own pace and also interact with and receive feedback from our faculty of master teachers in the form of Video Exchanges. ArtistWorks' patented Video Exchange Learning® platform allows students to submit questions to our master faculty in the form of a video, and our instructors then create personal video responses full of guidance, encouragement, and critical next steps to facilitate improvement.
