One of the biggest reasons people quit learning to play an instrument is confidence, the second one is boredom. Many players just haven’t started correctly, so the first few stumbles can erode self-assurance. In this next video, David Butler, teacher of the Beginner’s Guide to Acoustic Guitar at ArtistWorks, talks about the First Essential Elements of starting to play beginner guitar.
You’ll learn about setting expectations for yourself and your playing and David will give you some advice on how to get over even the smallest of challenges in learning how to play guitar - these are common to everyone. You may not realize it, but your journey is strikingly similar to even the most famous acoustic guitarists, so you’re in good company!
The next video in this series will discuss the “Decision to Take Guitar Lessons... (or not)”.
