Celebrating 12 Years of “Fingerstyle Guitar with Martin Taylor”
Grammy-nominated guitarist, Member of the Order of the British Empire, and ArtistWorks fingerstyle guitar teacher, Martin Taylor has been an educator at ArtistWorks since 2010 and has played an integral role in helping us achieve, and continue to live up to, our mission: to "Teach the World Music" and bring the joys of learning to thousands of players around the globe.
We’re excited, proud, and honored to announce that last month marked the 12th anniversary of Martin’s fingerstyle jazz guitar course here at ArtistWorks.
We’d like to extend an enormous congratulations to Martin! What an amazing milestone, and a true testament to your continued dedication to your students and commitment to sharing your knowledge. Thank you for all that you do!
“I’m so excited to be in the ArtistWorks studios here in Napa, CA to celebrate this 12-year anniversary, and to be recording new lessons for all of my students, some of whom have been with me since the very beginning,” Martin explains when asked about the 12-year milestone. “We’re continually creating new content on the site and I’m always expanding the curriculum within my course.”
Over the last 12 years, Martin has amassed hundreds of videos as part of his course’s online lesson library, which is constantly growing and evolving. Martin has also provided direct, personal guidance and feedback to thousands of his students over the years, and has built a collection of over 4,400 Video Exchanges that all of his students can access and learn from as members of his online community.
“The great thing about the ArtistWorks platform is that the site is interactive,” explains Martin. “So, at any point, students can submit videos to me, which I then review and respond to with my own video. It’s a great way to learn and a great way to teach, and I’ve had the pleasure of personally guiding countless students on their musical journey. Thanks to everyone who has joined and been a part of this experience, and to all interested in joining—I’m excited to see you online!”
