A Holiday Song for You - Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy
This is one of my favorite holiday songs. I’ve made it a holiday tradition to teach it to my students in my Vocal School here at ArtistWorks.com
“The Little Drummer Boy” was written in 1941 and then given an added counterpoint performed by David Bowe and Bing Crosby. “Peace on Earth” was written by David Bowie, Ian Fraser, Larry Grossman and Alan Kohan specially added for Bowie and Crosby’s recording on September 11, 1977.
Since the combination of both songs is done as a duet, I will teach you just the Peace on Earth part of the song.
Peace on earth, can it be
Years from now, perhaps we'll see
See the day of glory
See the day, when men of good will
Live in peace, live in peace again
I pray my wish will come true
For my child and your child too
He'll see the day of glory
See the day when men of good will
Live in peace, live in peace again
Here is the video recording of the duet with Bowie and Crosby
Wishing you all a wonderful holyday season,
