How to Play "My Funny Valentine" on Harmonica

Howard Levy Valentines Lesson

It’s mid-February, and you know what that means: love is in the air. While chocolates or flowers may sound like an ideal gift for your loved one, we’ve got another idea for any harmonica player out there — play them a new tune! And what better serenade for your significant other than the sentimental classic, “My Funny Valentine.”

In the video lesson below, Howard Levy teaches the jazz standard. The song is mostly comprised of notes in the C Minor scale, and “makes it a very easy tune to play,” he says. Grab your harp and give it a shot!
