This morning, blues rock powerhouse and ArtistWorks instructor, Jared James Nichols released his brand new single, “Hard Wired,” on Black Hill Records.

In line with Jared’s signature sonic blend of vintage-inspired blues and modern hard rock, “Hard Wired” showcases the “Blues Power” titan’s unwavering prowess as a guitar player. It also highlight’s Jared’s unique ability to write songs that both pay homage to the music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s while simultaneously progressing the blues rock genre to new heights.

“‘Hard Wired’ is an all-out, supercharged anthem dedicated to every single person who loves to a fault,” Jared explains. “No matter how hard you try, you cannot get away from what you love, even if you know it’s bad for you.”

The anthemic blues rock track begins in just the manner you’d expect from Jared—with a face-melting guitar solo. The wah-wah infused distorted guitar leads wash over you just as the drums and bassline begin pounding, setting the tune’s powerful tone. A catchy guitar riff ensues and is shortly followed by Jared’s ferocious vocals. From there, buckle up and ride!

Co-written by Jared James Nichols, Tyler Bryant, and Graham Whitford and produced by Eddie Spear, “Hard Wired” was recorded in the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN.
