Tony Trischka is sharing “Christmas Cheer (This Weary Year),” a song written in 2014 for his upcoming album, Shall We Hope (January 29, Shefa Records).  The players include Michael Daves on lead vocals and guitar, Kristin Andreasson and Stephanie Coleman on harmony vocals, Brittany Haas on fiddle, mandolinist Dominick Leslie and Skip Ward on bass.
 
"Though the song has a few sobering moments, I wrote it to add some levity to my upcoming project set in the Civil War,” adds Tony.  “Games played, the arrival of Santa, and so forth.  I wrote it five or six years ago, but the chorus seems to have a particular resonance this holiday season."
