As a fun start to 2021, we are happy to bring you a new series from last year’s Big Jazz Getaway, which was filmed at the ArtistWorks studio just before the world went into lockdown. Joining us for the first time together in the studio were 3 jazz pioneers and ArtistWorks instructors: Fingerstyle Guitarist Martin Taylor, Jazz Bassist John Patitucci, Harmonica and Pianist Howard Levy. They were also later joined by special guest Darol Anger who is the Fiddle instructor at ArtistWorks. In this first installment of the new series, the trio plays over what some might consider to be the most famous jazz standards of all, “Autumn Leaves”. In addition to explaining how each musician approaches the song, there are also plenty of stories, anecdotes, and helpful hints that all musicians will find interesting!
