Two New “Beginner’s Guide” Courses Now Open for Piano and Rock Guitar

We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that two of our newest courses, “Beginner’s Guide to Piano” and “Beginner’s Guide to Rock Guitar,” are officially here! As of 12 pm PT, the courses are both live and open to all students.

Alongside “Beginner’s Guide to Acoustic Guitar,” taught by ArtistWorks co-founder and the creator of Video Exchange Learning®, David Butler, these two new courses make up our “Adult Beginner’s Guide to Music” series: a collection of comprehensive courses designed specifically for adult beginners and first-time players.

BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO ROCK GUITAR:

Instructed by Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, Kevin Barry, “Beginner’s Guide to Rock Guitar” teaches first-time guitarists how to play their favorite rock ‘n’ roll classics on electric guitar. Through the course, you’ll learn basic guitar chords, picking and strumming techniques, and beginner music theory all in the context of classic rock songs you know and love. Alongside hundreds of lesson videos, you’ll have access to tablature and notation, play-along backing tracks, and the added option to get the feedback you need through Video Exchange®. These adult beginner guitar lessons will teach you everything needed to pick up your guitar, plug in, and jam along to your favorite rock classics.

“I’ve created a step-by-step course here to teach you all of the rock guitar fundamentals, and, just as importantly, have fun doing it,” Kevin explains. “With ArtistWorks’ patented Video Exchange technology, I’ll be able to provide you with direct feedback at every step to kickstart your musical journey.”

BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO PIANO:

Taught by Zachary Deak, lifelong pianist and lecturer at California State University, Los Angeles and Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, CA, “Beginner’s Guide to Piano” teaches first-time pianists and adult beginners how to play their favorite popular and classical pieces on the piano. In this course, you’ll learn basic piano scales, performance techniques, and beginner music theory through iconic piano music you know and love. Like “Beginner’s Guide to Rock Guitar,” Zachary’s course offers hundreds of lesson videos, sheet music, and supplemental materials, as well as the added option to get the feedback you need through Video Exchange®. These adult beginner piano lessons will quickly teach you everything needed to play your favorite music on the piano.

“I’m so enthusiastic about sharing this incredible knowledge and the joys of music-making,” Zachary explains. “This isn’t just a course. It’s a really supportive community of people just like you, learning to play an instrument at various stages in their lives.”
