Now, let’s get acquainted with our star-studded lineup:

Craig Chee & Sarah Maisel

Even though Craig Chee was born and raised on Oahu, he matured as an ‘ukulele player and musician on the mainland. While attending and graduating from the University of Oregon, Craig focused on teaching many different styles with the tiny instrument. Craig started his learning journey, like many other Hawai’i residents, with friends and the Roy Sakuma ‘Ukulele Studio. He has had the honor of working under Jake Shimabukuro and Troy Fernandez and has become a world-renowned teacher and performer. Craig infuses his energetic and just plain "fun" style into many genres of music and is known for his collaborations at different music events.

Sarah Maisel was born and raised in Alabama and found herself working in San Diego, CA as the Lead Female Draper for the La Jolla Playhouse and the University of California San Diego. After walking into a local ‘ukulele jam, Sarah was both fascinated by the instrument and the joy that surrounded it. Studying under Frank Leong, Sarah dove into the jazz stylings of golden age Hawai'i songs and arrangements inspired by ‘ukulele legends like Lyle Ritz, Benny Chong, and Byron Yasui. Sarah found a passion for teaching and performing with the ‘ukulele and was quickly featured at many ‘ukulele festivals around the world.

Craig and Sarah discovered a similar passion and work ethic and in 2015, married. They have made an incredible splash in the ‘ukulele scene with their complementing styles and vocal harmonies. Craig and Sarah have been featured at ‘Ukulele Festivals and events all over the world including Cairns and the Sunshine Coast (Australia), Cheltenham and Huddersfield (United Kingdom), Vancouver (Canada), Tokyo (Japan), Berlin (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), Honolulu (HI), and all over the continental US. Both feel very fortunate to have been featured on the cover of ‘Ukulele Magazine.

Brittni Paiva

Renowned for her exceptional ukulele skills, Brittni Paiva is a multi-award-winning instrumentalist with millions of hits on YouTube and global recognition in world music circles. Her stunning articulation of the instrument has earned her a place in the trend of the ukulele's resurgence in popularity.

She has shared the stage with legendary musicians such as Carlos Santana and Tommy Emmanuel and has won numerous awards and nominations throughout her career, including three Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Grammy winner Tom Scott was so impressed with Brittni's unique ability to adapt tunes to the ukulele while maintaining her identity that he requested to perform with her at a concert.

Brittni's fifth album, produced in collaboration with Tom Scott, was a huge success, receiving two nominations and winning both categories - Ukulele Album of the Year and Instrumental Composition of the Year - at the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts (Na Hoku Hanohano Awards). With her music, she infuses a refreshing and lively spirit, emanating an infectious new energy that captures her listeners.

Neal Chin

Award-winning artist and Maui, HI native Neal Chin, has been both an ‘ukulele educator and performer over the course of his musical career of 19 years. His clear and direct enthusiasm for music has come to life in countless workshops, concerts, and private instruction. While his heart is in jazz, Neal has played with many musicians of different genres including Hawaiian, folk, rock, and hip-hop. His contribution to the collective The Akira Project won his first Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award in 2014 before moving up to the Pacific Northwest. Since then he has been nominated for the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for ‘Ukulele Album of the Year two years consecutively for ‘Ukulele Paintings and The Spotless Mind in 2017 & 2018, started his own ‘ukulele practice in the Pacific Northwest, and has toured from Vancouver BC to New York to his home state, Hawai’i. Neal currently lives, teaches, and performs in Seattle, WA.
