Three lucky winners are joining us at our headquarters in Napa, CA on January 28 for the Big Jazz Getaway. They’ll get to meet Howard Levy, John Patitucci, and Martin Taylor and enjoy private one-on-one jam sessions and lessons. They’ll also hang in the control room and recording studio while these greats jam together.

Want to watch it all go down live? We’ll be live streaming the jam on our Facebook page right here at 3:00 PM PST on January 28. Tune in for an amazing one-of-a-kind experience!

Meet our Big Jazz Getaway winners:

Janice J. plays keyboards and she will be joining us from Tucson, AZ. Janice has deep and varied musical talents ranging from playing flute to singing lead in a five-voice jazz ensemble in LA for about ten years as well as singing in new music composer Steve Reich’s touring ensemble for about 5 years. After college,  she taught music (history, performance, theory, voice) in a number of colleges and community programs. She describes herself as an intermediate keyboard player and has been teaching voice for some time from her own private studio in Tucson.

Clarence W. plays jazz guitar and will be joining us from Detroit, Michigan. He has been playing guitar and singing for many years, and performs with several groups in the metro area. He is the only one in his family that plays an instrument, but it was his family’s deep love of music that guided him into picking up the guitar. He is excited to meet all three of you and looks forward to watching the recording process and getting to jam a bit.

Peter V. plays bass and will be joining us from Oxnard, CA. Peter has played bass for the better part of 30 years and has had some 1-1 instruction during that time, but is mostly self-taught. He is excited about being in the studio and getting to see, first hand, how a recording session is done as well as getting to jam and to “pick-up a thing or two.”

Don’t forget to tune in live on January 28 at 3:00 PM PST right here.
