Hello Bryan, Big thank you to you for taking the time and trouble to review my first video exchange with you... given that our conversation is about foundational fundamentals, and they relate to my posture, how I am holding the guitar, and other physical topics, my question is whether these are correctable through the online format. I am concerned that when I playing I really don't see my posture, angles of neck, arm, hand wrist etc so I'm worried that as you have said I'll be practicing bad habits, those I already have. I also apologize because my questions are very basic... for example I sit on an adjustable stool and the seat is is about 25" off the ground... normal chair hight is about 19" I think... is this affecting my posture... should I sit on a normal chair? Anyhow main point is to say I so much appreciate your initial video critique and look forward to improving with you as my guide.

The video files are still not loading consistently for me. I will watch one or two and then it gives me an error. I’m on my iPad but I don’t recall having this problem before.

Still cannot download mp3's from "lesson study materials". Specific example in Mike Marshall's course: Intermediate : Liberty. All of the mp3's download with a filesize of 0 KB. All mp3 download attempts (i.e. even from other lessons) have the same result. Last week I could download mp3's no problem.

Just received the help desks message that the video viewing issue was fixed, but that is true for the mando school, but still cannot access Howard Levy's video's. Is the system fix happening school by school?

I'm so frustrated right now. There is no actual instruction in the Christie Peery piano course. The Hugh Sung course was so good and provided great instruction, but the Christie Perry course is very disappointing. I just assumed that other piano courses would be as good as Hugh's. Disappointing, frustrating. I've contacted customer support in hopes that they will issue a refund.

I have submited a few Video Exchanges and received great input and recomendations from Mike Marshall. My issue is the quality of my VEs. I purchased a good microphone with a USB input for my 6-year-old Levono laptop. The video, however, remains of mediocre quality. I would like to do a "split screen" so I can record myself playing cords and then record myself playing the melody or improvising. If I had a better recording system I would submit VEs more frequently. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated: Different laptop, software, camera, etc.

Thanks for the Mike Marshall interview. I'm in the Rock Guitar school but I have seen Mike perform in a myriad of different ensembles and styles. He is one of the most inspirational performers I've had the pleasure of listening to.

The Winter Music Festival (bluegrass, Americana, folk) in Florence, Oregon, has posted their line-up for Jan., 2020. It's a smaller venue (seating under 500, I believe), so the shows are intimate and every seat is good. There are also four workshops and jam sessions. @Bruce68, I think a lot of the appeal of wider nut mandos is because of coming from guitar. It was for me. The longer I play mandolin and less I play guitar, the more comfortable I am using a narrow nut. I wish my guitar was narrower lol

Hello everyone, I'm curious to hear opinions on wide nut mandolins. Is it just simply personal preference, or are wide nut mandolins considered a better choice for players with larger hands and/or guitarists that transitioned to the mandolin?

With the minor Bb blues scale and Bb pentatonic scale what chord changes are these scales and riffs played over? Are the riffs and scales moved up over blues forms when the chord changes move up a whole step to the 5 chord?

Well, If you look in the bottom right of the video exchange there should be a ribbon. Click on it and it will ask what you want for the label. Write the label then it should work.
